Between the rivers there is Place Bellecour which is the third largest public square in France
and one of the largest in Europe. Lyon is well known for its two hills: La Croix-Rousse,
nicknamed: the working hill, famous quarter marked by silk industry, (it is worth to mention
that Lyon is also known as silk capital of the world), and Fourviere, known as: the hill that
prays,  where is situated Basilica of Fourviere.

participates in European football championship.
